Call legs: how are they connected in the Orig-Term report?

The Orig-Term Report connects call legs in order to show the statistics.

A call leg is a logical connection between two router/gateways or between a router/gateway and an IP telephony device. Normally, a voice call comprises two call legs, one from the Originating softswitch/gateway and one from the Terminating softswitch/gateway.

In this scenario, in order to connect legs in one call, the Orig-Term Report method requires next conditions to be met:

  • Conf-id is the same for call legs
  • The last 6 digits of DST Number EXT match
  • Session time permissible variation is ~1 second
  • Disconnect time permissible variation is ~5 seconds
