Why there are wrong cyrillic symbols in exported Excel files?

Symptoms​

Cyrillic symbols are encoded as "Україна" in exported Excel files in the following modules and formats:

  • Balance Report in both .xls and .csv formats
  • xDR's List in .xls format
  • Rate Generator in .xls format
  • Rate Analysis in .xls format

Cause​

Wrong encoding format, which is used during exporting data to file, is specified.

Resolution​

Go to Configuration → Setting → Output and Import / Export → Output Encoding and change encoding from "UTF-8" to "Windows-1251". Confirm changes by pressing "Update" button.

On the other hand, you can change the encoding of the exported file directly in Excel editor that you use.
