Priority of Capacity field use in the Clients section

Since the Сlient's profile and Client's template both have the Capacity field, sometimes it's difficult to determine the priority of its use and to figure out which particular capacity would be applied first. The corresponding cases are covered in this article.

Case 1

Origination Settings and Low Balance Control are specified only in the Client's profile

Let's take a look at the priority of the Capacity field use in the Clients section by considering a random origination client A as an example. What we are interested in is their Origination Settings, Low Balance Control and Available Balance (see screenshots below).

Client's Originator Settings and Low Balance Control

Client's Available Balance

Their Available Balance is 257.90 USD (Live Balance 157.90 USD + Credit 100 USD) and until they spend 252.90 USD or more, their capacity will remain at 3 channels. As soon as their balance reaches the 5 USD Threshold, the Capacity of 1 channel, specified in the Low Balance Control, will be applied.

Case 2

Origination Settings and Low Balance Control are specified only in the assigned Client's Template

Not all clients have the above-mentioned fields in Originator Settings or Low Balance Control specified. If such information is missing, the system will look for it in the Client's Template (if one was assigned to the client). For example, some origination сlient B has no respective information in their profile, but they have the Client's Template assigned with the following data:

Capacity in Client's Template

In this case, system's behavior will be identical to the one, described in Case 1.

Case 3

Origination Settings and Low Balance Control are specified both in the Client's profile and the assigned template

The third case occurs when the required information is completely or partially specified both in the Client's profile and in the Client's Template assigned. Regardless of whether data is fully/partially identical or different in both of these places, the priority is given to data in the Client's profile.

Thus, if the Threshold in the Client's profile is 5 USD and in the Client's Template, for instance, 15 USD, with the Available Balance of 12 USD, the system would consider that the respective client hasn't reached their Threshold yet, and the Capacity will comprise 3 channels.
